Summer Birthdays

Lots of kids have summer birthdays, and let me tell you, that is the way to spend your birthday, but lots of kids have in-school celebrations. Usually on a birthday during the school year, the birthday kid has some kind of special treatment. Kids that have summer birthdays don't usually get any of that. Teachers that do something for kids that have summer birthdays, usually at the beginning or end of the school year, have the right idea. Although, many teachers don't do that, so some kids end up getting special treatment. I think that kids should bring in donuts or something on their birthday and leave it be. That way, everything is fair. I know that some things never change, but I'm still allowed to say the things I think should be said.

Back to School

It is almost time to go back to school! Make sure you've got all your pencils sharpened and summer reading done! We all know that going back to school can be a challenge. Getting up early, doing homework, finding your classes, but going back to school can be easy! A few days before school starts, you should practice getting up early so it's easier when you actually have to do it. If you have a locker when you go back to school, remember to bring a paper with all of your info on it, and a copy of it in case you lose the first. All teachers cut you some slack if you're late the first week, but try to be on time, because eventually they will start yelling at you for it. Even though you know you have the entire year ahead of you, the first day of school is very important. It is a chance to make a first impression. Wear a special back to school outfit, and try to be extra polite and respectful to teachers. If a teacher doesn't like you on the first day of school, chances are, they never will.

My Vacation

Almost EVERYONE goes on vacation during the summer, and this one is no exception. Many families are shipping themselves off to North Carolina and Florida right now. My family went to Boston for our vacation. It involved lots of tours: The DUKW tour, the freedom trail tour, and the Old Ironsides tour. Our favorite was the freedom trail tour. The tour guide took us to historical spots in the town and told us all about the historical events that took place there. One day, we spent our time in Quincey Market, and had a fun time, too. There was so much STUFF!!! After Boston time, we went out to Cape Cod, and spent our time at the beach. It was soooo much fun. Wherever you're going, make sure to have a fun time, and if you're going on a stay-cation, that's cool. Have fun at that, too.

Rock Climbing Camp

I tried that rock climbing camp in the poll, and really, it wasn't too good. I thought thay it was going to be more rock climbing, but it ended up just being hiking and describing rocks. I don't think I'll come back next year...

The Fun Day

Last Thursday my grandma took me out for ice cream, putt-putt, and to eat. It was probably one of the most fun days I've ever had. Yesterday I went to the country club with my friend and went for ice cream afterwards. Today, I don't think I can expect any ice cream, but I'll find a way to make it fun. This stuff is a summer must!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Field Day

Something not to do when the weather is like this is have a field day. Our school had ours today, and I practically died of heat. My head felt like it was going to explode! It was terrible! If you're going to go outside, be sure to bring a water gun with you. Otherewise, stay inside on hot days!

Summer Fun

I know that not everyone in the world likes the same things I do, but I have some ideas for summer fun. You can go to the pool,(which I bet all of you will do sometime), you can read (my library has a contest), or you can hang with friends. I personally don't have much time to do that stuff, because I have camp, but all who read this, feel free to.

Stories

I'm making this cool book/comic book with my friend call, 'The Pointless Adventures of Es and Farah'. Of course those aren't our real names, but it's still fun. I just finished the main story today, we just have to turn it into words. This is a fun idea that you and your friends can try sometime.
